Practical nurses call off protest

The Practical Nurses Association of Jamaica has called off its protest following a meeting with Labour Minister, Pearnel Charles this morning.



A group of nurses marched from the offices of the National Workers Union on East Street in Kingston to the Labour Ministry.



President of the Association, Stephanie Powell, said the practical nurses were upset that they were not included in the recruitment process for nurses in Canada.



We are now satisfied with the feedback received from Mr Charles during the meeting added Ms. Powell.
