West Indies, South Africa in tie

West Indies and hosts South Africa tied their last Women\'s One-Day International at Newsland today, a result that gives the South Africans a 2-1 series win.



South Africa took first strike and posted 180 for six off their allotted 50 overs against the bowling of Shemaine Campbell two for 22 and Stacy-Ann King two for 26.



Mignon de Preez top scored for South Africa with an undefeated 70, while Shandre Fritz chipped in with 31.



West Indies also made 180 off their allotted 50 overs with the loss of eight wickets.

Merissa Aguilleira was the top scorer with West Indies with 36, while Deandra Dottin supported with 34, Pamela Lavine 30 and Cordel Jack 24.



Bowling for South Africa, Alicia Smith ended with two for 13 and Shandre Fritz two for 19.



The two teams will now play three Twenty/Twenty Internationals.
