WICB praise T&T for runner-up finish in Champions League

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has congratulated T&T for their strong runner-up finish at the Champions League.
WICB president Julian Hunte described T&T performances during the tournament as first class.
He said the T&T team played some very good cricket and caught the attention of everyone.
Entering the tournament as huge underdogs, T&T surprised the opposition and reeled off wins over reigning Indian Premier League champions Deccan Chagers and England’s Somerset in the group phase.
They went on to defeat New South Wales, the eventual champions, and the Eagles of South Africa in the Super eight round and defeated South Africa’s Cape Cobras in Thursday’s semi-final.
