Campaign for G2K presidency gearing up

Nominations have closed ahead of the presidential elections for Generation 2000 (G2K) the young professional arm of the JLP, slated for this Saturday.



Outgoing president Senator Warren Newby is not seeking re-election after serving his three-year term.



The nominations for the presidency closed yesterday.



Its understood that Delano Seivwright, a vice president of the organization is among the candidates vying for the top post.



General Secretary of G2K, Collin Virgo declined to disclose the number of candidates as he said the nomination forms are to be vetted before the final list of nominees is made known.
