The police in Dominica said they have recovered the bodies of three men in a boat 26 miles off the island.

They said the deaths appeared to be the result of a drug deal gone bad.

According to Deputy Police Chief Cyril Carrette, the boat was spotted with the help of an aircraft from the Regional Security System after rumours spread about shootings at sea.

The names of the men, aged between 25-35 years old, have not yet been released.
