ACP Owen Ellington appointed Acting Police Commissioner

Assistant Commissioner of Police Owen Ellington has been appointed to act as Commissioner of Police.
His appointment was confirmed this afternoon in a release from the Ministry of National Security.
ACP Ellington will begin acting as Commissioner of Police on November 7.
The release said that the Police Service Commission has accepted the resignation of Rear Admiral Hardley Lewin with effect from Friday, November 6.
The Police Service Commission said invitations for applications to fill the post of Commissioner of Police will go through public advertisements.
