Porfirio Lobo appeals for unity
Porfirio Lobo, the candidate who won Sunday\'s presidential election in Honduras, is appealing for national unity to end months of political crisis.
The country has been marred by protests and faced with tension following the military take over of the government.
Mr Lobo, an opponent of ousted leader Manuel Zelaya, won some 56 percent of the votes.
The United States has indicated it will accept the result but many Latin American nations say the election is not legitimate.
The poll was held five months after Mr Zelaya was forced out of office by a military coup, which saw an interim government taking over.
Mr Zelaya has indicated that he will remain in the Brazilian embassy in the Honduran Capital, Tegucigalpa until he is sure he is safe.
He has been living at the embassy since he secretly returned to the country in September.
The interim government had said that it would arrest Mr Zalaya if he returned to Honduras.
