Sri Lanka was sent in to bat by the West Indies on the opening day of the second and final Test at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad.

The visitors had reached 93 for two after 23 overs. Both wickets went to pacer Fidel Edwards.

The Barbadian bowler was one of two changes to the team that lost to Sri Lanka by 121 runs in the first Test in Guyana.

Batsman Ryan Hinds was ruled out with a hamstring injury and was replaced by Sewnarine Chattergoon.

Chattergoon will open the batting with Devon Smith as captain Chris Gayle has again chosen to bat at Number 6.

Edwards replaced Barbadian teammate Sulieman Benn as West Indies opted not to play either of its two specialist spinners.
