Police Constable Kevin Davidson and three other persons arrested on corruption charges were remanded when they appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrates Court this morning.
They are to return to court on April 17.
They were charged after Davidson allegedly conspired with his girlfriend to collect $500,000 from relatives on March 31.
He reportedly claimed that she was kidnapped.
The Organised Crime Division was informed and Davidson was arrested and charged with breaches of the Prevention Corruption Act, after more than $400,0000 was found at his home.
The file was sent to the Director of Public Persecution (DPP), who made a ruling for them to be charged today.
