UK teachers to strike
The National Union of Teachers in England and Wales said its members would be going on strike tomorrow.
According to BBC reports, the teachers are upset over the government\'s constraints on public sector pay.
The government and the union have been at odds over which measure should be used to determine pay increases.
The acting Head of the Teacher’s Union, Christine Blower is insisting that the government pay the teachers at least at the level of inflation.
The government said it has increased teachers\' pay by an average of 19 percent in real terms since 1997.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown is urging the teachers to reconsider taking strike action.
