Matalon gets second term
Industrial Commercial Developments (ICD) Group Chairman Joseph Matalon has been re-elected to lead the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) for a second successive term.
He received the vote of confidence from his private sector colleagues at the PSOJ’s quarterly meeting earlier this week.
In re-electing Matalon, council members reportedly said last year was both a challenging and demanding one.
But according to them, Matalon must be commended for his outstanding leadership during those testing times.
“Work relentlessly to realize the PSOJ’s vision, which is to make Jamaica the place of choice to live, work, raise families and do business,” Matalon appealed to members.
Matalon also urged his private sector colleagues to remain focused as together they work resolutely for Jamaica’s economic growth and development.
Matalon also noted that the recent efforts by the Government of Jamaica to rid communities of crime and violence, including the interventions of the security forces, have provided an opportunity for all to take back Jamaica and play a greater role in the governance of the nation.
