A Grenadian government Member of Parliament has resigned following last week's Cabinet reshuffle.

Three of the four ministers who were reassigned did not take the oath of office on Friday.

Michael Church, the former minister of labour, social security and ecclesiastical affairs, tendered his resignation yesterday.

He was demoted to a junior minister by Prime Minister Tillman Thomas as part of changes to the Grenadian Cabinet.

Prime Minister Thomas has since expressed regretted at Church’s decision to resign from his government following a Cabinet re-shuffle last weekend.

This is second Cabinet re-shuffle since his government took office in July 2008.
