Vybz Kartel granted bail, but remains jailed

Embattled dancehall entertainer Vybz Kartel was this afternoon granted $3 million bail in the Home Circuit court in relation to the murder case of businessman Barrington ‘Bossy’ Burton.



But he remains jailed in connection with the murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.



Kartel was granted bail in the Burton case last year when the matter was in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.



However, with the case being transferred to the Home Circuit Court this morning another bail application had to be made.

Two other men are facing murder charges in the ‘Bossy’ Burton case.



They are Nigel Thompson and Lenburgh McDonald



Kartel is to return to court on April 13.



Kartel has been in custody since October 1 last year when he and four other persons were arrested for possession of ganja.
