Granville residents need protection - Troupe

The Deputy Mayor of Montego Bay Michael Troupe is calling for urgent measures that will address the criminal activities and protect the residents in his division of Granville in St James.
Troupe, who is the Councillor for the area, says incidents of murder, rape, robbery and housebreaking have reached crisis levels.
His call comes following the gruesome murder of 37-year-old teacher, Tania Christie-Lowe, who was stabbed to death inside her home in Pitfour, St James, shortly after returning from church.
The Citizen Security and Justice Programme has started a number of intervention initiatives in the area, but Councillor Troupe says it is now time for a long-term plan to be put in place.
There has been no arrest in Christie-Lowe’s death.
