Gas prices up

Motorists are to pay nearly $2.00 more for gas when they go to the pumps tomorrow. The state owned oil refinery, Petrojam has announced increased prices for all its petroleum products effective tomorrow.



The refinery says the increased prices are due to the geo-political tension in Pakistan and Iran. Unleaded gasoline 87 will now sell for $60.19 following an increase of $1.86 per litre. The price of unleaded 90 has also increased by $1.86 to sell for $61.63 per litre. Automotive diesel oil goes up by $0.91 per litre to sell $62.17.



Consumers will now have to pay $62.06 for kerosene which goes up $1.31 per litre. And the price of cooking gas goes up $2.00 cents to sell for $40.60.



Retailers will add their respective mark-ups to the announced prices
