Appeals Court upholds ruling that controversial cop should get back his job

The Court of Appeal has ordered that controversial police inspector Donovan O'Connor should remain in the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
In 2005, the Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Commissioner of Police made the decision that effective December 1 that year, O’Connor should retire from the force in the public's interest.
O’Connor took the matter to the Supreme Court and won.
However, the PSC, the Police Commissioner and the Attorney General took the matter to the Court of Appeal saying the Supreme Court judge failed to take into account relevant material.
Today, the Court of Appeal dismissed the arguments of the appellants.
Civil society and human rights groups had raised concerns about O’Connor’s continuation in the force despite several controversial and questionable shootings.
O’Conner also called 'Hux' has been a member of the force since 1980.
