A woman is now in custody in connection with the stabbing death of an exotic dancer at a prominent night club in Ocho Rios, St Ann yesterday morning.

The dead woman has been identified as 25-year-old Rochel Davis of a Mandeville, Manchester address.

The Ocho Rios Police say shortly after 5 a.m., after the club had closed, Davis and a woman, who is believed to be her co-worker were involved in an altercation.

They say a pair of scissors was brought into play and Davis was stabbed in the chest and taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Her attacker was later taken into custody.

Commanding officer in charge of St Ann, senior superintendent of police Egbert Parkinson, says the suspect will be charged today.
