JLP election result in an hour

Director of Elections Orette Fisher says vote counting and other administrative tasks are expected to last for one hour after the close of polls for the leadership of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP).



The polls opened this morning at 8 o'clock and closed at 1 p.m.



The EOJ will hand the result to the JLP secretariat which will then make the announcement.



In the meantime, supporters from both sides have gathered at the respective locations dancing to music and chanting their choice as they await the official results.
