Clarendon crime increase
The Clarendon Police say they are intensifying their efforts to catch criminals following a number of murders since the start of the year.
At least six persons have been killed in the parish in the last eight days.
The deputy police superintendent in charge of crime, Patrick Murdock says police personnel have been taken from areas with a low-crime rate to concentrate on the troubled communities.
And he says an ongoing gang feud is behind some of the murders in the parish.
He says last night’s murder of 29-year-old Clinton Samson and Monday’s killing of 58-year-old Herma Crewe in Caanan Heights are examples of the reprisal attacks.
