FOOTBALL: Three Jamaican female officials depart tomorrow for Under-17 World Cup duties

Three female FIFA officials from Jamaica are booked to leave the country tomorrow to officiate at the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica from March 15-April 4.



The Jamaican officials are referee Cardella Samuels along with assistant referees Stacy-Ann Greyson and Princess Brown.



The appointments mark the first time that three Jamaican officials have been selected to officiate at a FIFA World Cup tournament at the same time.



The first Jamaican referee to officiate at a World Cup Final, Peter Prendergast will also be in Costa Rica.



Prendergast has been appointed as a technical instructor for the referees in the tournament.
