A 17-year-old girl and a man remain in police custody in connection with last Friday’s incident in which another man was killed by the police in an alleged shootout.

The St Andrew South Police say the two are facing charges of shooting with intent and illegal possession of a firearm.

They are expected to be interviewed and charged shortly.

Meanwhile, the police are still searching for two men who they suspect were also involved in the incident.

About 1 o’ clock last Friday morning the police reportedly spotted a car driving along the roadway, signalled it to stop but it did not.

The vehicle later crashed and the occupants are alleged to have fired shots at the police.

The police shot back and two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds, while the other occupants of the vehicle escaped.

A 17-year-old girl was later found in another vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to her foot.

It was later discovered that the car in which the girl and the men were travelling belonged to banker Dwayne Grigg, whose body was found in a secluded area on Cherry Hill drive a day before.
