Egypt beat Cameroon in African Nation Cup

Egypt opened its African Cup of Nations title defense earlier today with a 4-2 win over four-time champion Cameroon in Group ‘C’.

Hosni Abd Rabou gave Egypt the lead in the 16th minute from the penalty spot after Andre Bikey had handled in the area.

Abd Rabou also scored in the 83rd.

Mohamed Zidan doubled Egypt\'s lead in the 18th, and then scored his second of the night in the 45th by beating Cameroon goalkeeper Carlos Kameni with a rising shot from the edge of the box.

Samuel Eto\'o scored both goals for Cameroon.

In another Group ‘C’ game, Zambia carved out a 3-nil victory over Sudan.
