Jamaican Shereefa Lloyd wins Norwich Union 400 metres

Jamaican Shereefa Lloyd landed the women’s 400 metres to log the lone Caribbean victory at the Norwich Union International indoor track and field meeting on Saturday night.
Lloyd returned a time of 53.08 seconds to win the event easily ahead of the USA international Monique Hennagan (54.56).
There were also top three results for her Jamaican teammates Aileen Bailey and Korine Hinds.
Bailey clocked 24.16 seconds for third in the women’s 200 metres, chasing American Shareese Woods (23.76) and Britain’s Joice Maduaka (24.04).
Hinds grabbed second in the women’s 1500 metres, clocking 4.19.48 seconds behind the British winner Lisa Dobrinsky (4.16.30).
