Bolt to resume training this week

Beijing Olympic triple gold medallist Usain Bolt, who suffered minor injuries in a car crash last week, is expected to resume training in a few days.

Bolt’s manager Norman Peart says his athletes should be on the track later this week.

However, Peart says Bolt will wait and see how he feels in training before deciding whether to compete in a 150-metre street race in Manchester, England on May 17.

Bolt had minor surgery on his left foot to remove thorns that he stepped on as he got out of his wrecked BMW on April 29.

Peart says the stitches will be taken out today and Bolt is expected to begin training shortly.
