PNP minority leader in the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC), Angella Brown Burke is rejecting claims that yesterday’s walk out by PNP councillors was planned.

The councillors reportedly walked out of the KSAC meeting, after one of their concerns was not addressed.

Mrs. Brown Burke said the councillors followed the required procedures.

She said she was requesting that the Mayor of Kingston, Desmond McKenzie, address a resolution by the PNP to roll back the general consumption tax to 15 percent and to place a freeze on fuel tax.

She said the then opposition leader, Bruce Golding, had called for the PNP to have these matters addressed two years ago.
