A new bridge is to be built in Seven Rivers, St. James to replace the temporary Bailey bridge, which currently serves the area.

The National Works Agency (NWA) said work has started on the structure, which is valued at $90 million.

Community Relations Officer for the NWA’s Western Region, Janel Ricketts said the bridge would accommodate two lanes of traffic.

She said the project also involves significant repairs to the roadway, and construction of the bridge is to be completed within the next 5 months.
