Miller

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The REV Al MIiller's letter to Christopher 'Dudus' Coke, published in the June 13 edition of The Sunday Gleaner seems both self-serving and insincere.

Did Rev Miller not meet with Mr Coke some weeks ago? How did they make contact? The public knew of their meetings after they happened. Why not use the same methods of contacting him now? Why make it public - to impress whom? As my 18-year-old daughter suggested, chances are Dudus is on his way to turning himself in and Miller wants to be credited with doing with a letter what the security forces could not do.

As to the meetings Miller (and Bishop Blair) had with Dudus prior to the military incursion into the 'republic' to get the 'President', 'how come' they knew where to find Dudus and the police did not know?

I think we are playing a dangerous game with the Church and the affairs of the State. Miller boasts that he has had meeting with many dons. On what authority? To what end? and how has the society benefited from the 'master of transformation' meeting with heads of criminal organisations? What has Miller gained?

The country needs answers.
