It's fast becoming one of the most popular eateries in the now-buzzing downtown area. Tucked away on Little North Street is CC's, otherwise known as Curtis' Cook shop. Workers from nearby companies flock the shop's little waiting area daily and everyone knows that Thursday is oxtail day. And nobody but chef Curtis makes the best oxtail in town.

Lunch begins as early as 11:30 a.m. and Chisholm and his teams are kept busy filling orders and taking calls. Sometimes they go up to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. on Fridays.

Each meal is accompanied by his 'famous' salad dressing. But he tells Food, "I also prepare mixed potato salad, made with Irish and sweet potatoes, and breadfruit salad, served either as a meal or with meat," notes Chisholm.

His tasty fried chicken is usually accompanied by rice and peas, white rice, or even fried rice. What else is on the menu? "Cooked meals weekly range from jerk to stew pork, orange valley pork chops, jerk chicken, pineapple chicken, malah chicken, rosemary-grilled chicken to cow foot, oxtail, shrimp (done to order) and escoveitch and sweet and sour fish, served with rice, salads or festival," explains Chisholm.

'Oxtail Thursdays' is a big hit as are 'fried chicken and fries Fridays' 'Jerk Pork Fridays' and 'Stew Peas Wednesdays'. Once you have lunch at CC's you are sure to return, so if you are ever downtown and in the mood for some good food, give Curtis a call.
