Portmore man shot dead

The St Catherine Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in Portmore this morning.

The man’s identity has not yet been released.

The police say relatives reported hearing explosions shortly after they dropped him off at his home in a section of Portmore Villa known as ‘Mexico’.

It’s reported that his body was later found in a ditch a short distance from his house.

Nearly 800 people have been reported killed in Jamaica since the start of the year.
