Neita Robertson presented as PNP standard-bearer for west Portland

Prominent attorney Valerie Neita Robertson was last evening presented to Comrades at a closed-door divisional conference in Buff Bay as the People's National Party's standard-bearer for West Portland.

Neita Robertson is expected to challenge the Jamaica Labour Party's Daryl Vaz in the next parliamentary elections.

Vaz has won the past three parliamentary elections in West Portland.

On Sunday, Neita Robertson, told our news team it was too early to speak as she had not yet been officially endorsed as constituency caretaker by the PNP hierarchy.

The media was not allowed inside the divisional conference at the Buff Bay Primary School yesterday.

In fact, reporters who had gathered there had to leave after supporters became irate about their presence calling them spies.
