Brianna Lyston of Hydel High wins the girls' under-20 200 metres in 22.66 seconds on Sunday's final day of the three-day Carifta Trials at the National Stadium.

Red hot Brianna Lyston was in menacing form in the preliminary round of the girls class one 100 metres after clocking an impressive personal best of 11.14 seconds to win heat one of the event at the Central Championships at GC Foster College to advance to the finals later today.

Lyston, now a Hydel High School athlete, in her first meeting with one of the Clayton twins this season and fresh off her impressive 22.66-second clocking in the 200m at the Carifta Trials on Sunday, easily defeated the Carifta under 20 100-metre champion, Tia, who clocked 11.31 seconds for the runner's up spot.

Twin sister, Tina the world under-20 champion and runner up to Tia at Carifta Trials won her heat in 11.41 seconds, but benefitted from windy conditions to advance to the finals, setting up a mouth-watering clash among the three.
