Overlooking the stunning Montego Bay marine reserve, Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Saturday broke ground for the construction of the Pinnacle development, which will have four 28-storey apartment blocks.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Holness said this significant development will cement brand Jamaica in the lifestyle segment of the hospitality market.

“The presentation that you have just seen brings a new level of real estate development to Jamaica,” Holness said while praising the principals, LCH Development.

“It is a project that shows a bit of bravery and I know that there are many looking on at the project and saying this is substantial,” the prime minister noted.

He also reiterated the need for a skilled workforce to ensure the success of this project..

The private Pinnacle community will have more than 500 apartment, villas, sports and leisure facilities, shopping, restaurants and a private residents' club.

It is expected to be completed over the next four years.
