Man charged for Barbican Road, St Andrew shooting

A court date for him is being finalised.

The police have charged a man for the shooting of another who was sitting in a car along Barbican Road in St Andrew.

Charged with wounding with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, using a firearm to commit a felony is 39-year-old Collin Golding.

Golding was charged on Wednesday

Reports from the Matilda's Corner police are that about 8:40 p.m., the complainant was in a parked vehicle along the roadway when Golding opened gunfire at him.

The complainant managed to escape and drove to the nearby police station where he was assisted to hospital.

An investigation commenced and on Monday, May 06, Golding was arrested during an operation in his community.

On Wednesday, May 08, a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney was held, following which he was charged.

A court date for him is being finalised.
