Coca-Cola is hosting its first-ever Bites and Beats food and music festival on Saturday at the Hope Botanical Gardens in St Andrew. The event, according to Chantellee McDonald, senior brand manager of the Coca-Cola portfolio at Wisynco Group Limited, is a fusion of great food with high-energy music to present an immersive brand experience.

“Food and music are two of the biggest connectors in Jamaican culture. So it felt natural to create a festival centred around celebrating this fusion of notes to engage the senses, while bringing people together to create memorable experiences,” she told Living.

When it comes to the gastronomic component of the event, McDonald shared that patrons will have numerous options. “The focus is on curated food offerings that patrons can purchase and enjoy on-site. Our goal is to highlight the flavours and creativity of our vendors, which allows patrons to relax and savour every moment.”

The team has, thus far, partnered with several well-loved local restaurants and emerging culinary brands, including Wendy’s, TacBar, Fused Cravings, Kaya Pizza and Presto Pasta.

The hope is to create an event that reflects the beverage company’s commitment to celebrating culture, creativity, and community. “We also hope to build a platform that can grow each year and become a staple on the entertainment calendar.”

So why should people attend the Bites and Beats Festival? “You’ll be able to enjoy incredible food from top vendors, amazing live performances from artistes like Valiant, and interactive brand activations that make the experience unforgettable,” McDonald highlighted.

To honour the brand’s new campaign, the event this Saturday is free with just six ‘Share a Coke’ labels. “That way, the festival is accessible and designed to give patrons maximum value for their time,” the senior brand manager added.
