JLP Rally | Tufton dismisses rumour he's been fired as JLP campaign chairman
Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) campaign chairman Dr Christopher Tufton has dismissed as false a message posted on social media claiming he has been removed from the position.
“I and I still deh yah representing Andrew Holness and the Jamaica Labour Party,” Tufton said at a JLP mass rally on Sunday, making reference to his party leader and Prime Minister.
“Don’t follow rumours.”
Three days before Jamaicans go to the polls to elect their government, Tufton, who is also the health minister, targeted eligible voters who are undecided about whether they will cast ballots.
“As you make up your mind, look in the mirror and ask yuhself the simple, straight [and] frank question: 'Will I be better off over the next five years under Andrew Holness and the Jamaica Labour Party based on what they have done in the last nine years?'” he said.
“'Or should I experiment with a party that say one thing today and another thing tomorrow and not sure about wha dem ago say di next day?' We cannot experiment with the lives of Jamaicans and their children and their family,” he said.
