After a long hiatus, reggae star Chronixx is back in the spotlight, beginning the rollout of his highly anticipated album, Exile. Although an official release date has not been announced for all regions, the album is now available to listeners in countries such as Japan, New Zealand, and Australia, where it is October 10, Chronixx’s 33rd birthday.

Exile marks the Spanish Town native’s first major release since Chronology, which dropped more than eight years ago in 2017. While fans may have hoped for a quicker follow-up, the artiste mentioned in a social media post last year, that he can’t "rush creativity”.

Nevertheless, fans have been eagerly awaiting Exile since Chronixx first made the announcement during his performance at the music festival Reggae Land earlier this year, in the United Kingdom.

At that time, he previewed a new track from the album, “this is called Don’t Be Afraid from the upcoming album Exile coming this 2025, believe it or not,” he said to the audience at the Milton Keynes National Bowl.

The Dread & Terrible entertainer would later go on to announce via social media on Wednesday that the album features 17 songs – including the aptly named Hurricane, which he teased earlier today on his Instagram.

Hurricane and Don’t Be Afraid are tracks nine and 11 respectively on the album.

The body of work will also feature the songs: Exile, Market, Sweet Argument, Survivor, Family First, I Know What You Feeling, Saviour, Keep on Rising, Genesis, I And I, Never Give Up, Pain In Your Heart, Resilient, Scheming and Love is on the Mountain.

More to come as the Skankin Sweet singer continues his rollout.
