A man was found hanging from a tree in Spalding, Manchester on Friday, the police have confirmed.

However, Superintendent Carey Duncan, commanding officer for the Manchester Police Division, said the man’s identity has not yet been ascertained.

There is speculation that he could be the main suspect in the stabbing death of school teacher Tara Pinnock and her 14-year-old daughter, Talia Wright, on Thursday.

Their bodies were found inside their Keystone, St Catherine home with multiple stab wounds and their throats slashed.

Following the discovery, the police made a public appeal to Brandon Maine, a taxi operator, to report to the nearest police station or the Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch.

The police said they believe Maine can assist with their investigation into the killings.
