Man wanted for murder in St Elizabeth captured in St Mary
The St Mary police have captured a man who was wanted in connection with a murder committed in St Elizabeth.
According to the commanding officer for the St Mary Police Division, Superintendent Anthony Wallace, a targeted operation was conducted between 11:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, and 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at a premises on Cox Street in Port Maria, St Mary.
“During the operation, Damion Salmon, otherwise called ‘Dave’, a 44-year-old farmer of Hodgesland, Black River in St Elizabeth, was apprehended,” Wallace said.
Wallace explained that Salmon is wanted in relation to the murder of Peter Burke, stemming from an incident that occurred on January 12, 2026, in Hodgesland, St Elizabeth.
“The St Mary Division remains committed to proactive policing, ensuring the safety and security of all residents,” Wallace added.
