Stop mismanaging our country

Published:Sunday | May 17, 2020 | 9:03 AM

THE EDITOR, Madam:

TO THE Jamaican Government: there are no trade laws that say you have to buy poison – foreign chicken, beef, produce and other agricultural staples are poisonous.

They are chock-full of hormones, antibiotics, fillers, excess fat, sweeteners, pesticides, excess chemical-laced fertilisers, and genetically modified organisms.

Jamaicans are coming down with diseases hitherto unknown or extremely rare in our country. On top of that, we are putting our farmers out of business. What’s wrong with that picture?

Use your scientists to test these products, and use the results as a legitimate excuse to get out of these draconian trade laws. They were never fair in the first place.

How can a class-one athlete compete against a class-three athlete? Where’s the fairness in that?

The time has come for common sense and smarts to come out of Gordon House. You are mismanaging our country and you should stop.
