Ministry launches probe into death of Port Henderson Primary School student
The Education Ministry has launched a probe into the death of a student of Port Henderson Primary School in Portmore, St Catherine.
At the same time, the ministry says it has already decided that it will provide financial assistance towards the funeral.
The Education Ministry says the probe will seek to determine whether her illness and subsequent death was attributable to curricular activities.
It reported that Grade Two student Kemeisha Butler died in hospital recently.
It’s further reported that Butler was punished by a teacher during a physical education class which caused her to develop health complications.
