Search on for cop who drove into the sea in St Ann then disappeared
Police personnel attached to the St Ann Marine Division and the Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard are continuing a search and rescue operation in Discovery Bay, St Ann following a suspected case of drowning of a man believed to be a cop.
The search and rescue operations have been underway since 6 p.m., last evening when a motorcar was seen partially submerged in the water.
The driver was accosted by the police and ran off into the sea.
He has not been seen since.
The vehicle was retrieved from the water and several police paraphernalia, including a ballistic vest found.
