Clarendon water disruption: NWC takes Kellits Pumping Station out of operation

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that its Kellits Pumping Station in Clarendon has been taken out of operation due to high turbidity affecting inflows from the supply source.

Affected areas include: Kellits, Crofts Hill, Good Hope, Tait, Pedro, Rhoden Hall, Guava Ground, Hickery, Comsie and Jericho.

Meanwhile, the NWC says the Nutshell Relift Station in St Catherine is currently out of operation due to challenges at the source that supplies the facility.

The company says as a result, several other facilities within the network are being impacted by disruption.

These include the Ewarton, Cassava Pond, York Street, Mount Rosser and Ivy Booster stations.

The other affected areas are: Cotton Piece, Charlemount Housing Scheme, Whitehouse Housing Scheme, Orangefield Village, Ewarton, Mt. Rosser, Waterloo, Ivy, Bennett Shop, Old Mt Diablo, Leslie Road, Cassava Pond, Lluidas Vale Main Road, Charlton Housing Scheme, Polly Ground, York Street, Russel Pen, and sections of Treadways.
