The Guinness team out in full force at the regional eliminations in Portmore.

Since the launch of the Guinness Sounds of Greatness competition, there has been much excitement and anticipation. The brand is well known in communities islandwide as a strong supporter of music, the sound system and dancehall, in general. The first staging of the competition was held in St Mary and the reception was amazing, with Teflon emerging the winner of that round.

The competition picks up this Saturday in Junction, St Elizabeth, for the second round. It will be hosted by Badda Bling from Di Unit and judged by two established names in the music industry, Tony Matterhorn and Mikey Bennett.

"Since the start of the competition, it has been going extremely well. The communities have been waiting for the return of the greatest sound clash competition and we were more than willing to provide it," said Imru James of main sponsors, Guinness.

On Saturday, Iceberg Million, Thrillaz International, Black Rose and Shadrock will showcase their skills and knowledge of music and selecting.

"We are excited about this week's competition and I am sure the participating sounds are as well. We're inviting all dancehall and Guinness lovers to come out and show support for your favourite sound," said James.
