Last Friday, Transformed Life Church (TLC), with title sponsor Best Dressed Chicken, hosted the first Elevate Worship Experience, featuring international gospel artiste Israel Houghton and his band, New Breed. Hundreds of music lovers and God chasers crowded inside the Jamaica College Auditorium, eager for the experience.

Opening act, gospel trio Levy’s Heritage, invited the audience to forget about all their worries and give praise to God. The standing patrons clapped, shouted and even learned a few dance moves, courtesy of the Sterling Gospel awardees. TLC Lifesong, the worship collective and recording artiste group of Transformed Life Church brought the room to the next level of worship with original worship songs, such as To Your Name, Wi Love Strong and Be Enthroned.

Multi-Grammy award-winning artiste Israel Houghton took the stage with his band, New Breed, and ministered. His Billboard hits such as Jesus at the Centre, To Worship You I Live and Here I Am to Worship brought the entire room to their feet in worship. He lit up the room with his performance of Mighty to Save and seemed to enjoy himself as much as the crowd, asking for song requests that led to unforgettable performances of I t’s A New Season and Hosanna. He could not leave before singing Reckless Love and Alpha and Omega.

The evening exceeded the expectations of the production team, and founding pastor of Transformed Life Church, Rev Dwight Fletcher, stated that, “Elevate Worship Experience was an excellent evening. God used us in ways we didn’t even anticipate, and we know that this is only the beginning. Our elevation of worship will be a lifelong and exciting journey.”
