As the island gears up for the 2024 carnival season, Xodus Carnival is set to debut its 2024 Mas Couture-themed costumes in a runway fête show.

The event will take place on National Heroes Day, October 16, on the grounds of 36 Hope Road, St Andrew.

This year’s Xodus experience will consist of designs depicting the best fashion eras throughout history.

“Our aim is to design, produce and deliver beautiful and elaborate costumes that will enthral new and existing customers. With this year’s theme, we are marrying two intrinsic elements of carnival that define our celebration – the vibrant spirit of our people ‘mas’ [and] the captivating world of fashion and how it translates to carnival ‘couture’,” said Pierre Goubault, chief executive officer of Xodus Carnival.

Revellers are promised an extremely entertaining night as disc jockeys Jus Jay from Barbados, Heatwave Fatalic, Cyclone from Coppershot and Nocturnal will be in charge of keeping the vibe high all night long. The event will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

“Mas Couture is not just a theme; it’s a celebration of diversity, creativity, growth, and evolution. A big thank you to all the sponsors who have come onboard to make Xodus Carnival a success this year, and all Xodus revellers who have kept the band alive year after year,” continued Goubault.
