GenXS band launch set for Nov 18
High off their success at the Miami Broward Carnival Parade, GenXS has its sights set on Jamaica.
The band will launch its Carnival in Jamaica costumes on November 18 under the theme Bun up the Road.
“What we have in store for GenXS Jamaica is pure fire! All I can say is wow!” shared Tagyei Belinfante, a director for both GenX and GenXS.
Reigning Miss Jamaica World Shanique Singh, who participated in the Miami Broward Carnival as a section leader for MODA, designed by Shawn Dhanraj, is already excited for Carnival in Jamaica. “What sets GenX apart for me is the premium service and the meticulous attention to detail. It’s the little things that matter, and GenX excels at understanding and delivering those. The best part is, the excitement continues in Jamaica. The vibe is unbeatable, and it’s almost impossible not to have a great time, whether in Miami or Jamaica.”
For Krystal Pitt, a seasoned and well-travelled masquerader, “carnival is all about the experience”. She said Miami has set the tone for Jamaica.
“The bar is raised every year... . I can’t wait to be on the road in Jamaica,” said Pitt.
“GenX understood the assignment [in Maimi]: pump-chip-sip-sing- repeat, all day and into the South Florida night! It always sets the stage for Jamaica. It’s band launch season, and GenXSers need to get ready for our November band launch as we prepare to Bun up the Road and unleash our 2024 experience,” said GenXS Jamaica Carnival Director Kino Johnson.
