One thing that will be remembered from Giomar Mitchell’s performance at the PAN 2025 Finals on Sunday, is that he never leaves his camp behind. Upcoming artiste Umar ‘Soun Bwoii’ Dixon, who was celebrating his birthday, was among the studio colleagues Giomar called on stage, along with Jay YGT and Brush1, after he performed alongside his father, veteran singjay Wayne Marshall.

The group delivered a medley of dancehall and reggae hits, including rendition from Dem Ago Dead by Masicka, Bad Man Nuh Dress Like Girl by Harry Toddler, Heads High by Mr Vegas, and Cook by Lexxus. They also dropped a line from Busy Signal’s Happy Birthday to celebrate Soun Bwoii.

“I called on them because a mi bredda dem. From now on, today, mi can’t do a show and dem man deh don’t touch the stage. Same as dem can’t do a show and me no touch di stage… We write together, laugh together, cry together; A jus di camp, a jus di family,” Giomar said following his performance.

PAN, the budding entertainer alluded, was his biggest show to date, and the practice sessions with his friends, made the performance memorable.

“This was my biggest show to date, and I felt like it was my best performance. The energy from the crowd was so good. It was such a blessing to have mi bredda dem with me, but I have to give it up to the crowd and the organisers of the event, because dem mek di atmosphere really nice and proppa,” Giomar explained, adding, “It was a blessing and an honour.”

For birthday guy Soun Bwoii, the first artiste Giomar called on stage, it was an honour.

“Performing on my birthday is a blessing, especially because five years ago, around the same time, I got into a car accident; so it’s always a blessing, and mi just love di fact seh I can help out fellow upcoming artistes like Gio and myself,” the young artiste, who has singles like Pump Up and the recently released Outside, done in partnership with ZJ Chrome, said.

Jay YGT said he is extremely grateful for the opportunity and was glad to see the performance come to life after all the work put in behind the scenes.

“Mi jus waa give a big shout out to Giomar for giving me this big opportunity to be here. Big up CB Foods! It was a great performance in my opinion. Wull heap a work put ina it behind the scenes, wull heap a hours we deh up a run through it, and it came out just as planned, and the people dem gi wi di vibe and mi appreciate dat!” he said.
