Salvation Army celebrates 130 years in Jamaica
Deputy Police Commissioner Novelette Grant will be the keynote speaker at this Wednesday's fund-raising dinner at The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in support of the Salvation Army, which has been operating in Jamaica since 1887.
The dinner will headline a series of events to be held across Jamaica between Wednesday, May 24, and Sunday, May 28.
Guests of the week's activities will be the Army's world-famous Florida Divisional Band, which will be supported by Salvation Army Caribbean Band.
A release by the Salvation Army showed a programme of activities, which include devotional activities at Liberty Academy, Kingston College, and St Andrew High School for Girls, as well as concerts in St William Grant Park on May 25 and Emancipation Park on May 26.
It will culminate on Sunday with a Festival of Praise, which it has called Music Festival 2017.
