THE EDITOR, Sir:
"The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them." (Mark Twain)
Ian Boyne, of blessed memory, was an avid, prolific, voracious reader, and that is why he was so rational, enquiring, analytical and discerning.
He read and understood a whole lot and, for decades, enlightened us with his profound invaluable insights in societal matters of religion, politics, economics, sociology, psychology and philosophy.
In celebrating excellence, I think The RJRGLEANER Communications Group, which he served with distinction, should establish an award or scholarship in his honour for the pursuit of journalism.
