Christmas has lost its meaning

THE EDITOR, Sir:
Christmas has lost its value, meaning, purpose and good reputation pertaining to Christmas music, especially the original Christmas carols. And as the years go by, it's getting worse.
Even happy Christmas carols like Good King Wenceslas and Once in Royal David's City and other glorious ones are no longer heard. It seems like everything that's good is coming to an end.
Only a few radio stations play Christmas music much during the Christmas season, and when they do, it's far from fitting the traditional theme.
The more happy Christmas songs we play, the more we will feel the spirit of Xmas. On the other hand, the more reggae or dance music we play, the more we will be killing the real meaning and purpose of Christmas.
